Live chicken lorry crashed with Corsa

A Corsa driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being involved in a crash with an HGV transporting live poultry on the A153 on Thursday morning.

Lincolnshire Police officers were called to the crash involving a white Vauxhall Corsa and a MAN HGV, which happened on Moor Lane with the junction of A153, Leasingham Moor, Sleaford just after 8.45am on August 27.

Emergency services and an air ambulance was also spotted at the scene.

The driver of the Corsa was taken to hospital, but the driver of the HGV was not injured.

A spokesperson for EMAS said: “We sent a LIVES responder, paramedic in an ambulance car, a crewed ambulance and the air ambulance was also in attendance. One patient was transported to Queen’s Medical Centre via air ambulance.”

Police are appealing for people to get in touch who saw either vehicle, or has dashcam footage of the Corsa or the HGV.

The Corsa travelled along Moor Lane to the junction of the B1209 and the HGV was travelling along the A153 towards Ruskington.
