Lincoln Odeon to reopen on same day as new Everyman cinema

A bit of cinema rivalry next weekend

By Local Democracy Reporter

After multiple delays to the reopening date, Lincoln Odeon on Brayford Pool will finally returning, and it is on the same day as its new competitor, Everyman cinema in the Cornhill.

Lincoln Odeon will reopen on August 21, with only one film showing on the screenings, Christopher Nolan’s new release Tenet.

It was originally planned to return on July 13, but stayed closed beyond that date. The date was then pushed back again to August after a delay in the release of new films.

August 21 has now finally been settled, and a notice on the Odeon website gives more information.

Marcus Dugasse, manager of the Lincoln branch, said: “We have made lots of changes to create a new safer cinema experience for you, and we look forward to welcoming you back.”

There won’t be much price rivalry between the two cinemas, as Everyman is pitched at the deluxe experience market. This is how much tickets and food will cost.

Everyman is known for its comfy interiors.

Plush seating and individual tables can be found in Everyman cinemas.
