Lincoln Odeon cinema return pushed back again

They’re waiting for new films to be released

By Local Democracy Reporter

The Odeon Lincoln cinema on Brayford Pool delayed its reopening again.

It was initially due to return on July 13, but that date passed and the website said it would be closed until further notice.

Odeon cinemas started to open some venues across the country since July 4, but many have stayed closed will return in phases throughout August.

This is, according to Odeon themselves, due to a delay in the release of new films.

A spokesperson for Odeon said: “We are pleased to be welcoming guests back to selected cinemas across the UK, and we continue to receive positive feedback from cinema-goers on their experience and the additional safety measures we have put in place.

“In light of changes in the timing of this summer’s big blockbusters, currently the reopening dates scheduled for the rest of our cinemas across July, including Odeon Lincoln will now be phased over August.”

This delayed return means that Odeon is set to come back in the same month that Everyman cinema opens on the Cornhill Quarter.
