Man charged with manslaughter after Lincoln bridge death

He died in May after a head injury

A 38-year-old man from Lincoln has been charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of David Turner.

David Turner, 50, was found with a head injury near the Brayford Way bridge on Saturday, May 16, and he died three days later.

Police investigated the assault and initially said the death was being treated as unexplained before a man was arrested and bailed.

Police confirmed on Wednesday, August 12 that Adnan Mehmed, 38, of Park Street in Lincoln, has now been charged before being released on bail.

Mehmed is due to appear at Lincoln Magistrates Court in October.
