Tributes to Lincoln pub manager who died on Sunday

The man has been named locally

People on social media have been paying tribute to the man who died over the weekend at the Lincoln pub he ran.

The Crown & Arrows pub on Moorland Avenue suddenly closed on Sunday afternoon due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’

It was later confirmed by police that a man had died in the pub just before 4pm on August 16. The death was not suspicious, police said.

The man has now been named locally as Jeff Davis. He was the general manager of the pub and was in his mid-20s.

Jeff had been working at the Hungry Horse since 2017. His body was reportedly found by the assistant manager.

RIP Jeff Davis

A close friend paid tribute to Jeff on The Lincolnite’s Facebook page, calling him a “true legend” that will be “greatly missed”.

Staff at the pub were praised for the way they handled the situation in The Lincolnite‘s comment section too.
