Blossoms coming to Lincoln next spring

The 2021 tour will start in Lincoln

By Local Democracy Reporter

Popular indie band Blossoms will be returning to Lincoln Engine Shed for their 2021 tour in March.

Blossoms are set to perform at the Engine Shed on March 17 2021 as the first leg of the headline tour.

Supporting acts Fever and The Lathums will join Blossoms in Lincoln for the show.

Tickets starting from £26.40 will be available from 9am on Friday, September 4 here.

The band added two extra dates to the rescheduled tour that was supposed to support their most recent number one album ‘Foolish Loving Spaces’ that came out in January.

The tour was postponed due to coronavirus but has now been rearranged for March 2021, culminating in a homecoming show at Manchester Arena on April 3.

Blossoms recently announced the release of a new double album called ‘In Isolation/Live From The Plaza’.

The first side of the album will feature a collection of covers recorded during lockdown, with the second being a full live set from the band’s ‘Foolish Loving Spaces’ album launch show.

The University of Lincoln’s Students’ Union had initially hinted that the venue would be closed until the next academic year, however that stance has now been clarified.

A spokesperson for the SU has said it will now be preparing for more events at the Engine Shed in the coming months.

“We’re planning a variety of smaller-scale activities and events across campus, making use of indoor and outdoor spaces and incorporating social distancing, as well as a host of online activities.

“We’re also planning ahead for any future easing of restrictions on larger indoor events, and our booking team are working hard with promoters to build a first-class programme of events for the Engine Shed.”
