The final two weekends of closures (October 3-5 and October 10-12) will now not be necessary due to the progress of works made on the road.
Cllr Richard Davies, executive member for highways at Lincolnshire County Council, said: “I’m happy to announce that we were able to complete our works near the new Lincoln Road roundabout this past weekend.
“As a result, we won’t need to close the road this weekend or the weekend after, like we originally planned.
“This means we can avoid the disruption these closures would have caused, news that I’m sure will be welcomed by those living and travelling in and around Branston.”
