Lincoln City thrashed Bradford City 5-0 away from home in the second round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday.

The win means that Lincoln will face Premier League and World Club Cup champions Liverpool in the next round at the LNER Stadium next week.

Michael Appleton’s Imps were in red-hot form against League Two side Bradford, racing to a 4-0 lead before half time with goals from Anthony Scully, Lewis Montsma, James Jones and an own goal.

Latest loan signing Callum Morton scored a fifth to get his first goal for Lincoln in the last minute.

It continues the Imps’ winning start to the campaign, after beating Crewe Alexandra in round one of the cup and winning 2-0 against title favourites Oxford United in League One.
