Scunthorpe cafe reopens under new family owners

Family business expansion in Scunny

By Local Democracy Reporter

A family-run business has taken over the coffee shop in the Debenhams store in Scunthorpe.

Bentley’s Coffee Shop is co-owned by business partners Emily Bentley, Martin Smith and Helen Smith, and it can be found at the North Lincolnshire Shopping Park.

The cafe inside Debenhams will serve a range of hot drinks, breakfasts, light lunches and sweet treats, using locally sourced produce.

Bentley’s also run cafes in Middlesbrough, Scarborough and Beverley, and the company is looking forward to opening a shop in Lincolnshire.

Emily Bentley, co-owner, said: “We’re thrilled to have been given the opportunity to re-open the cafe within Debenhams at North Lincolnshire Park.

“Our ethos is to serve tasty and healthy food using produce from local suppliers wherever possible, and I think that’s something that appealed to the Debenhams team.

“We’re committed to embedding ourselves within the communities in which we’re located and that’s something we’re looking to build on over the coming weeks and months as we become even more established in the area.”
