Seven new coronavirus cases start off September

No hospital deaths for 32 days

There have been seven new cases of coronavirus in Greater Lincolnshire to kick off September.

The latest government figures show four new COVID-19 positive cases in Lincolnshire, and three in North Lincolnshire.

North East Lincolnshire saw no additional cases reported today.

The current breakdown of the region’s 3,684 cumulative cases is:

  • 2,675 in Lincolnshire (up from 2,671)
  • 767 in North Lincolnshire (up from 764)
  • 242 in North East Lincolnshire (no change)

Hospital data also confirmed no further deaths in their latest figures, meaning 32 days without fatalities.

The government’s own dashboard, which includes deaths of Greater Lincolnshire residents which take place outside of hospital or in facilities outside the county, also showed no new deaths.

On Tuesday, it was revealed that 76 previously reported COVID-19 deaths across the region had been wiped from the statistics following the result of a government review last month.

Nationally, government data showed cases increased Wednesday by 1,295 to 337,168 and deaths rose by three to 41,504.
