Man dies in A15 Lincoln crash with lorry

A second man suffered serious injuries

An 18-year-old man has died after a crash involving a lorry and a black Ford Fiesta Zetec on Monday morning, and the A15 is expected to remain closed for some time.

Lincolnshire Police were called to the crash on the A15 outside Highfield Farm, Bracebridge Heath in Lincoln, just south of RAF Waddington, at 4.44am on August 9.

The driver of the Fiesta was pronounced dead at the scene despite the efforts of the emergency services. His family have been informed, police said.

One male passenger sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital.

A second passenger, who is also male, sustained injuries and was taken to hospital to be assessed.

The driver of the lorry was uninjured.

The A15 was closed shortly after 5am and will remain closed for some time, said police, who are advising people to avoid the area and find alternative routes if possible.

Lincolnshire Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision or anyone who may have dashcam footage, to contact the investigation team.
