Lincoln UTC to host post-16 options evening

Parents and students will have the opportunity to observe lessons in progress

On Monday 31st January from 5-7pm Lincoln UTC will host a Post-16 Options Evening for year 11 students interested in applying for September 2022.

The Lincoln UTC Sixth Form is graded ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted and provides a specialist education for students wishing to pursue a future career in science, engineering, maths or technology.

Achievement is consistently well above that made by other students nationally and year 13 leavers continue to be very successful in securing their desired place at university or in industry.

During this event students and parents will have the opportunity to drop in to observe lessons in progress and talk to subject leaders and current sixth form students about the grade requirements, expectations, and specification of each subject.

Additionally, each subject leader will be delivering a ten-minute course specific presentation on two separate occasions during the evening. The timetable for these presentations has been designed to allow students to explore multiple options and potential subject combinations.

In September 2022 Lincoln UTC will become the only provider in Lincolnshire to offer a T Level in Engineering. This course will expand on current post-16 option choices, which include a range of STEM-based A Levels and a Level 3 BTEC in engineering.
