White Stuff relocating to bigger Lincoln store

There are plans for the current store to become a gaming centre

White Stuff is planning to relocate to a larger premises in Lincoln as plans have been revealed to turn the current store into a gaming centre.

The ground floor of the fashion and lifestyle retailer’s high street store could become an Admiral Slots branch.

Leeds-based company Luxury Leisure has submitted two applications to City of Lincoln Council, asking for permission to change the building’s use, remodel it and install signage outside.

White Stuff has not yet confirmed any details of where or when it is planning to move.

A spokesperson for the company said: “We are happy to be part of the Lincoln community, where we’ve traded successfully for many years. We are looking to relocate to take advantage of a bigger space.”

Designs submitted with the application show the main shopping area converted into gaming areas, likely with slot and fruit machines.

A lobby would be added to the entrance from the High Street, with the changing rooms and kids play area converted into an office and storage area.

New Admiral Casino branding would be added to the front of the shop along with a hanging sign.

Body Lipo, which occupies the floor above, isn’t affected by any plans.

White Stuff originally opened in Lincoln in 2016, with 12 new jobs created.

Other nearby stores are currently open in Louth, Newark, Spalding and Meadowhall.

The plans will need to be approved by the council before any changes are made. They are now open for comments on its planning website.
