RAF Scampton dog ruling offers ‘glimmer of hope’ for High Court hearing

The ‘first victory’ in stopping asylum seeker housing?

Last night’s ruling on the grave of Guy Gibson’s dog has offered hope to opponents of RAF Scampton asylum seeker plans ahead of the upcoming High Court hearing.

127 people packed into the Lincolnshire Showground’s Epic Centre to hear the controversial planning application.

The proposal sought to relocate the memorial dedicated to Wing Commander Gibson’s black Labrador, whose name is now known as a racial slur, to the current home of the 617 Squadron – RAF Marham in King’s Lynn.
