Lincolnshire’s disposable vape epidemic – Should they be banned?

We need tougher restrictions on the sale of single-use vapes — that’s the message Lincolnshire councillors, residents and even vape shops all agree on.

The issue is back into the spotlight this week after the popular Reading & Leeds Festival banned any disposable vapes into their venues this year, so anyone caught with them would have them confiscated.

Organisers Festival Republic say that single-use vapes pollute the environment and that incorrect disposal can be seriously hazardous. The sticking points are the lithium batteries and chemicals inside, and greenhouse gas emissions and water consumption generated during their manufacturing.
