Local frustration as parking woes persist on scenic Skegness avenue

Calls for resident-only parking and alternative solutions

A scenic entrance to the Skegness seafront has become a source of growing frustration for local residents after an alarming increase in vehicles parking on grass verges and footpaths over the past three years.

The recent installation of bollards on the tree-lined Scarborough Avenue by Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) has not yet proven effective, residents say. The bollards were requested by ward member and county councillor Carl Macey, along with former Lincolnshire Police Inspector Colin Haigh, after both were frustrated with ongoing parking on the pathways of Scarborough Avenue.
