Lincolnshire scoops £4.3m of scrapped HS2 fund for better bus services

Only a small chunk, with more funding promised, but no timeline available

Lincolnshire will receive a £4.3 million slice of a £27 million pie for bus service improvements across the East Midlands in the next financial year, following the government’s decision to scrap the northern leg of the HS2 project.

The government says this £27 million is the first round of up to £1 billion in funding for bus services across the North and the Midlands, as part of its Network North Plan, with further funding allocations set to be revealed in due course.
