City Council rejects Conservative plan for Lincoln Christmas Market return

Lincoln Conservatives suggested £190k amendment for Christmas Market, but the full council voted it down

A fiery debate around the possible reintroduction of the Lincoln Christmas Market has been rejected by city councillors as part of budget plans for this year.

Leader of the Conservative opposition group, Cllr Tom Dyer, presented three amendments to this year’s council budget for 2024/25 at Full Council on Tuesday, February 27.
