A candle-lit table, roses, maybe some wine and… “we’ll need the table back in an hour please”. Ever fancied the romance of a Valentines Day meal in a slightly more intimate and familiar setting?
Lincoln chef Darren Rogan saw a gap in the market on the most romantic night of the year for the ultimate personal dining experience.
For £90 per person, couples can welcome Darren into their homes to wait on them hand and foot, serving a bespoke five course tasting menu.
And the best part is he even does his own cleaning and washing up.
Darren works with his clients to create their perfect menu.
Darren launched Darren Rogan Chef Solutions in 2017 and has been training in the industry since the age of 15.

His business specialises in private dining experiences for intimate dinner parties.
His Valentine’s menu runs from Friday, February 9 and Wednesday, February 14.
Diners can chose from these menu options, including a vegetarian menu.
A vegetarian menu is also available and there is a discount for group bookings.
Dates are limited and Darren advised diners to book in advance.
He said:”I bring all the food I need for the experience. All that is required at the customers’ house is a kitchen with oven and hobs (gas or electric is fine) and dining room table and chairs.
“I use my own utensils, plates, pans etc.
Darren said he likes to experiment with modern techniques and quirky flavours.
“I started the experience in September 2017 and the clients love it. I have already had repeat bookings.”
Outside of Valentine’s week, Darren offers experiences ranging from two to 25 people and from £30 to £100 per person. He crafts menus to particular likes and dislikes and also caters for afternoon teas and mini picnic benches.
He uses his own pots and pans, ingredients and utensils, and promises to leave your kitchen clean and tidy.
He also added that he is looking to run a series a pop-up restaurants for the year 2018.
“Over the years I have developed my own eclectic style of cooking,” he added. “I enjoy pushing the boundaries with my work, using modern techniques and new and unusual flavour combinations to create food that’s exciting and original.”
