Cheeky Nando’s are back! The Lincoln restaurant reopened on Thursday after five weeks of refurbishment – plus, there’s a brand new burger on the menu!
As previously reported, new seating, art work and lighting have been installed at a more spacious and brighter looking Nando’s restaurant on Brayford Wharf, which re-opened to the public at 11am on Thursday, October 4.

New on the menu is the Churrasco Burger, which is available until October 31. It is two chicken thighs with fino coleslaw, cheddar cheese and churrasco Perinaise, served in a Portuguese roll.
It is available on its own for £7.75 or with one (£9.50) or two regular sides (£11.25).
We thought it was only proper that we went to try it out and it got a thumbs up from us!

With each Churrasco Burger sold the restaurant will donate 25p to Nando’s Fighting Malaria. It can also be ordered with a Mozambique lager 2M and Nando’s will double their donation to 50p if you do this.

Last year the restaurant raised £7 million across its UK stores for Nando’s Fighting Malaria.
There will also be a new seasonal menu launched in November with other options to try.

The refurb
The refurbishment has seen the restaurant favour a brighter and fresher South African look.
As part of that move to a lighter look, the restaurant has removed its bamboo ceiling to show off the building’s rooftop windows.

The walls of the restaurant are all covered in original pieces of South African art, while other features reflect the unique curve design of the building.
The restaurant has also gone greener, including by having reflector plates above the grill.
Nando’s was already proving a hit again after the first two hours of trading after the re-opening.
Ed Gray, who manages the Lincoln restaurant, told The Lincolnite: “It has been busier than expected and it is nice to bring our Peri Peri flavour back to our Lincoln fans.”
