Delays after person struck by train

It is causing delays in Lincoln

A person has been struck by a train between Nottingham and Newark Castle, blocking all lines and also affecting Lincoln.

Network Rail has advised that there are teams and emergency services on site on Thursday, November 29.

Services may be delayed by up to 60 minutes, cancelled or revised.

It is disrupting East Midlands Trains on the Leicester/Lincoln/Grimsby route and the Matlock/Nottingham/Newark Castle route – for more information click here.

Disruption is expected until at least 1pm between Nottingham and Lincoln.

East Midlands Trains is currently sourcing rail replacement buses to run in both directions between Nottingham and Lincoln Central.
