A Lincoln escape room is getting ready to open its second site next month with an axe throwing venture and other additional surprises under the same roof.
Escape (Lincoln) opened in the Sessions House building at Lincoln College on Monks Road on November 9, 2018, which was formerly used as Lincoln Magistrates’ Court, Police Station and Jail.
The new Escape Lincoln site will be situated at Vulcan Park on George Street. It will have four brand new themed rooms, including a head challenge room.
There will also be a unique horror experience described as “the most scariest escape room experience in the UK, maybe even the world”.
However, it won’t just be about escape challenges. The site, which will also have free customer WiFi and plenty parking, will also be a new innovative space featuring activities including a pool table, shuffle board and retro gaming machine.
Axed Lincoln are also an affiliate member of the World Axe Throwing League and this will be its first UK site.
Axed Lincoln posted on social media saying it will be the “most axe-citing new venue to hit Lincoln” on October 18. This is a provisional date as the exact opening date is still being finalised.
It will have eight axe lanes on site that can be booked privately or socially.
Director of Escape and Axed Lincoln Tom Owen said: “This is a very exciting project for us, and have some more great ideas to further expand the entertainments sector in the city, this is just the start!
“Lincoln is a very trendy city and has a so much to offer to people of all ages, we look forward to offering them something different to enjoy!”
Escape (Lincoln) initially opened its current site with just three rooms – Contagion, Magic Emporium and Sherlock: The Initiation. It has since opened another three.
