Police are appealing for witnesses after a sea cadet had a tablet and beret stolen by two women who approached him on a street in Grimsby.

The 15-year-old boy was walking home when two women confronted him on the corner of Strand and Albion Street at around 9pm on Tuesday, January 24.

One of the women stole the sea cadet’s Samsung Galaxy tablet, with the other taking his beret.

The women are described as being white, aged between 20 and 30 years old, with slim builds and messy blond hair.

One was wearing a black coat, blue jeans and red shoes, while the second was wearing a black puffer coat, blue jeans and white shoes.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, knows the identity of the women or the whereabouts of the stolen property should call Humberside Police on 101, quoting incident number 2244761.
