Suspect charged with five offences over ‘Bob’ graffiti

The suspect was charged with five offences

A male has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage after Bourne businesses, cemeteries and walls were vandalised with the word ‘Bob’.

As previously reported, a cemetery in the Southern area of Bourne was among the locations vandalised after someone defaced grave stones and the shelter at the same place.

Inspector Ian Martin posted on social media that the suspect was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage in relation to a number of offences before being interviewed.

He was then charged with five offences over the weekend and bailed with conditions to court.

Someone’s work van has also been vandalised with the same word.

The graffiti also appeared in other areas of the Lincolnshire market town with one poster in the Facebook group Bourne Rural Lincs, Lincolnshire (Group) saying “Headstart nursery, Jewsons & a car along Great Northern Gardens can be added to the list of properties these morons are defacing.”
