Police have arrested two men over a theft and ‘disturbance’ in a Skegness shopping centre, and the connected alleged suffering of an animal.

The incident happened at the Wilkinson’s shop at Hildreds Shopping Centre at around 11.15am on Monday, November 15.

Nigel Tune, 36, of St Andrews Drive was arrested after a disturbance at Wilkinson’s at around 11.15am on Monday, November 15.

He has been charged with theft and a public order offence.

Lincolnshire Police are now appealing for information from those who witnessed the incident to come forward and help us with enquiries.

Additionally, they are investigating a report of unnecessary suffering of an animal in the same incident and would urge anyone with information to get in touch.

A local man, in his 30s, has been arrested and released under investigation in connection with this.

Police investigating the death of a man whose body was found on a green in Timberland say the incident is not believed to be suspicious.

Officers were called to an area on Timberland, Scunthorpe, at 8:20am yesterday (Monday, November 15) following reports of a concern for safety. The area is an open grassy section open to the public, where the ‘Welcome to Bottesford’ sign is positioned.

Upon attending, sadly, a man was discovered deceased. The man’s death is not being treated as suspicious.

The body was reportedly found by a woman and her children and police cordoned off a section of residential area.

Humberside Police are appealing for anyone with information that could help with the investigation to contact them on 101 quoting log number 82 of November 15.
