South Holland District Council leader Nick Worth (Conservative) maintains hope that the proposed devolution deal for Greater Lincolnshire could bring additional funding in the future.

The representative for Holbeach Hurn ward remained optimistic about the proposed deal, despite acknowledging that the £28.4 million in capital funding “wasn’t a massive amount of money.”

West Lindsey District Council has been secretive about the legal fees it has incurred in its fight against the Home Office’s plans for an asylum centre at RAF Scampton.

Despite a Freedom of Information (FOI) request asking for detailed costs associated with its legal efforts — including an injunction bid, a High Court permission hearing, judicial review, and subsequent appeal — the council declined to disclose this information, citing exemptions from disclosure requirements.
