Prolific Lincoln restauranteur Vito Cataffo is offering a £10,000 reward to anyone who gives information leading to the arrest and conviction of the man who robbed one of his staffers.

Katherine Olive (24), was robbed over of over £2,000 at about 1.55pm on May 24th, down St. Peters Passage, the alleyway that leads from High Street to Mint Lane.

Olive, who is the Assistant Manager at Cataffo’s Zucchini’s restaurant on Silver Street, was taking the restaurant’s weekend earnings to a nearby bank, when she was pushed over from behind and her pink handbag was stolen.

She suffered cuts and bruises to her face and arms, and was very shaken by the ordeal. At this stage, there is no description of the offender, who ran off towards Mint Lane and Park Street.

— Follow-up: Vito Cataffo is now calling for CCTV to be installed immediately in an alleyway where the robbery took place, The Lincolnshire Echo reports.

There is no camera covering the alley, despite two serious sex attacks took place in the area. City of Lincoln Council say CCTV cameras do cover the two entrances to the alleyway, but can’t see inside it.

Anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the area at the time is asked to contact Lincolnshire Police on 0300 111 0300.
