Power cuts throughout the day in Lincoln have caused disruptions for residents, businesses and motorists in the Birchwood area of the city.
Around 2,500 properties in Birchwood and Doddington Park suffered from a power cut at around 11am this morning.
Engineers from Western Power Distrubution managed to get the majority of properties working by lunchtime.
However, another power cut affected the same area again at around 1pm.
Besides the homes and businesses affected by the cuts, traffic lights on Skellingthorpe Road and surrounding streets were also experiencing problems.
Western Power Distribution said that it was the same circuit affected as the morning cut, however the cause of both outages is still unknown.
A spokesperson also informed The Lincolnite that properties in the Birchwood area should have had their power restored by 3pm.
Engineers are currently remaining at the scene to locate the fault and undertake any repairs needed.
