Man arrested for ‘going equipped’ for burglary

Well equipped: Police have arrested a man armed with a number of tools on suspicion of going equipped for burglary.

Lincolnshire Police have arrested a local man on suspicion of going to burgle in Lincoln on Monday morning.

Police stopped a man acting suspiciously in Lime Kiln Way, Lincoln on July 30 at around 3am.

The 28-year-old was in possession of a screwdriver, wire cutters and a torch.

He was arrested for going equipped for burglary and is now helping police with their enquiries.

Police are asking anyone who was in the area of Lime Kiln Way or Deacon Road in the early hours to call Lincoln CID on 101, quoting reference 3212**32707.
