Lincoln students and graduates will have the chance to meet big name employers at an annual employability fair on Wednesday.
The Find Your Feet careers, postgraduate and employability fair at the Engine Shed on November 15 will house over 60 graduate recruiters.
Confirmed exhibitors include the likes of Wilkinson, Morrisons, Siemens, Cummins, Branston, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Channel 4, The Civil Service, Matalan, and Rolls Royce.
The event will also feature a number of talks, and offers advice on postgraduate courses, gap year options, summer placements and internships, and graduate enterprise.
It is part of Enterprise and Employability Week, running from November 12 to 16. The week helps past and present students find their suited career, through the likes of workshops and fairs.
Mark Stow, Careers and Employability Services Manager at the University of Lincoln, said: “The national jobs market is certainly tough but graduates are still much in demand.
“As ever, it is those people who really understand what employers are looking for who will stand out from the crowd. It’s never too early for students to start thinking about life after graduation.
“It might be getting hands-on work experience or a student placement, or ensuring their CV is written in a way that they jump off the page. The best way to learn these tips of the trade is from the employers themselves.
“Our Find Your Feet event brings some of the country’s biggest graduate recruiters to our doorstep and is the perfect stage for current undergraduates and recent alumni to talk face-to-face with these employers.”
To help students approach the big employers on the day, the university’s Careers and Employability Team will be running pre-fair preparation sessions.
Mark Stow added: “It is important for students attending that they do their research and prepare for what they would like to ask the employers. This could be that all important chance to make a good first impression.”
Students and graduates from other universities are welcome to attend the event. To sign up to the Enterprise and Employability Week or Find Your Feet event, visit UoL Careers or email.

Campaigners in the Lincolnshire Wolds have launched a bid to raise £20,000 to fund a legal challenge against a planning inspector’s decision to allow oil drilling in the Lincolnshire Wolds.
The inspector authorised Egdon Resources to proceed with oil drilling in Biscathorpe, despite acknowledging the project’s potential harm to the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Now, local group SOS Biscathorpe, which has been fighting the plans, is urgently seeking to raise £20,000 to fund their appeal against this ruling. So far, they have raised more than £3,600.
Residents, visitors, and traders have expressed their disappointment following the cancellation of the beloved Lincoln Christmas Market, on what would have been the inaugural day of this year’s four-day event.
Although the poor weather might have deterred some people, the city’s Bailgate area was notably quiet around 12pm on Thursday, typically the time the event usually opens its doors.
