Lincoln bookie robbed by man with meat cleaver

Caught on CCTV: Lincolnshire Police are investigating after a Lincoln betting shop has been robbed by a man threatening staff with what appeared to be a meat cleaver.

Police are investigating after a Lincoln betting shop was robbed by a man threatening staff with a meat cleaver.

The incident happened at around 7pm on Saturday, January 12, at the Ladbrokes betting shop on Guildhall Street in Lincoln.

An offender entered the shop, brandished what appeared to be a meat cleaver and demanded money. He left with a quantity of cash. No one was hurt.

The offender was wearing a blue hooded top, blue jeans and black trainers. He had a scarf covering his face and a black hat.

He left riding a white bicycle and was carrying the cash in an orange Hessian cash handling bag.

Lincolnshire Police are appealing for anyone who thinks they may know the pictured offender, or witnessed the incident, to get in touch with them as soon as possible.

They are also appealing for anyone who finds an abandoned white bicycle, or discarded orange cash bag to call them immediately.
