Earlier bin collections in south Lincoln due to roadworks

Earlier collections: Due to roadworks and weather, Cory Environmental will collect people’s bins earlier than usual in south Lincoln.

Residents living around Boultham Park Road and Dixon Street will be getting their bins collected earlier than usual due to bad weather and roadworks in the area.

Cory Environmental, which collect refuse, green and recycling on behalf of the City of Lincoln Council, will now be collected temporarily at 7am.

This is due to the 10-week long road widening and resurfacing work taking place along Boultham Park Road.

Routes around the city have also been altered slightly due to the snow and icy weather conditions to make collections more efficient.

Shane Harrison, Cleansing Service Officer at the council, said: “We are hoping this doesn’t cause a disruption to too many households, but it is vital people get their bins collected.

“Due to the number of roadworks taking place our collectors will be starting their rounds slightly earlier.

“We would ask people to make sure their bins are ready at this time as there is not currently the capacity to do recollections.”

The early collection times will start from this week.
