Serious head injury: Two men have been arrested and a third man is in hospital with a serious head injury after what police are describing as a ‘violent incident’ overnight in Lincoln city centre.

Two men have been arrested and a third man is in hospital with a serious head injury after what police are describing as a ‘violent incident’ overnight in Lincoln city centre.

Lincolnshire Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which occurred at around 12.40am on Sunday, October 25 on Free School Lane.

A 24-year-old man from the Winthorpe, Skegness area sustained a head injury. He was taken to Lincoln County Hospital but later transferred to Queens Medical Centre where he is said to be in a serious but stable condition.

Two men, both aged 21, and from Maidstone in Kent were arrested in connection with the incident.

PC Robin Palmer and PC Jesse Karanga are investigating.
