British Transport Police have confirmed that the body of a man has been found on scaffolding at Lincoln Central Train Station.

A spokesman for British Transport Police (BTP) said: “We were called to Lincoln Central station at 8.28am on Monday, May 16 to reports of a body on scaffolding near platform three.

“Colleagues from East Midlands Ambulance Service also attended, and a man was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The man’s death is not being treated as suspicious and officers are now working to identify him and inform his family.

“A file will be prepared for the coroner.”

Those using train services from Lincoln have been faced with slight delays, but it’s been reported the station is operating as normal.
