A new open air day party is coming to the Lincolnshire Showground this summer, with special guests Ocean Colour Scene and Shed Seven set to take to the stage.

Summer’s End is a new annual event celebrating the best of British rock and roll with chart topping acts, food and craft beer between 2pm and midnight on Saturday, September 3.

Music lovers can expect more acts to be announced for the inaugural event soon.

Headliners Ocean Colour Scene, whose hits include The Riverboat Song and The Day We Caught The Train, are currently celebrating the 20th anniversary of their Moseley Shoals album, which they’ll be playing in full.

Over 23 years, Ocean Colour Scene have notched up nine albums, three of which went Top 5.

They supported Oasis at their record-breaking Knebworth shows, and two years later set sail on the biggest arena tour of any UK band to date.

Shed Seven had five UK top 40 hits in 1996, more than any other act that year. At the peak of their success their seventh single “Going For Gold” entered the UK chart at number 8, followed by a sold out thirteen date tour.

Organisers at Major Label said: “As the Britpop revival sweeps the country, this line up has already sold out in several major cities and it’s expected tickets will be in hot demand.”

Pre- Registration for tickets starts on Friday, May 13, with Early Bird tickets being available from Monday, May 23.

Tickets cost £39.50, with a discount for the first 500 people to pre-register.

Tickets can be purchased on the website here.
