Bishop Grosseteste University has been given the go-ahead to expand one of its teaching blocks off Newport to more than double its current size.

The expansion has been developed in response to steady growth in student numbers over the last ten years.

Councillors on City of Lincoln Council’s planning committee agreed the proposals at a meeting on Wednesday, June 29.

The expansion site is located in the north-west elevation and south-east elevation of the Constance Stewart Hall, and will create two extra floor spaces to provide new teaching spaces for the students.

One of the conditions of the planning approval is that the development should begin within a three year period.
