Driver dies in hospital after crash on main Lincolnshire road

A woman who crashed on one of Lincolnshire’s busiest A roads has sadly died in hospital.

As previously reported, emergency services were called to the A17 at Swineshead at around 2.35pm on Monday, September 5.

The collision involved a local woman driving a silver Honda Jazz, who suffered serious injuries and was taken to Pilgrim Hospital in Boston.

Lincolnshire Police confirmed that the woman died from her injuries.

There were no passengers in the car.

Eyewitnesses who saw the Honda leave the road should contact the Collision Witness Appeal line on 01522 558855.

A post mortem will be carried out in the next few days to determine the cause of death.
