The Ministry of Justice has confirmed that an inmate at the prison “gained access to an internal window ledge”.

A government spokesperson said that the incident has now been resolved and the prison is “operating as normal”.

This is the second time they were called to deal with a disturbance this month.

Ambulance and fire crews were reported to be on scene at around 2.45pm.

Eyewitnesses also reported that several prisoner transport vans arrived at the prison at around 3pm.

Lincolnshire Police, Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue and East Midlands Ambulance Service were all contacted by The Lincolnite but have not released any further information.
