Police have issued an appeal to find the driver of a BMW which crashed into a telegraph pole over the weekend.

Two men were rushed to hospital following the crash at around 5.45am on Sunday, October 16 at the junction of Clee Road and Humberston Road in Grimsby.

The driver of the black BMW 335 saloon left the vehicle, which came to rest on the driveway of a Humberston Road property.

Humberside Fire and Rescue Service crews had to free the passengers.

A 21-year-old Manchester man, who had been travelling in the front seat, is being treated for life threatening injuries at Hull Royal Infirmary.

A 24-year-old Grimsby man, travelling in the rear of the car, is being treated for leg injuries at Grimsby’s Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital.

He was arrested at the scene in connection with the incident and bailed, pending further enquiries.
