A driver has died at the scene of a two-vehicle crash on the A180 in North East Lincolnshire, with another man suffering life threatening injuries as a result of the collision.

The crash on the westbound carriageway of the A180 close to South Killingholme happened at around 9.20pm on Tuesday, November 1.

It involved a white Ford Focus Zetec and blue Peugeot 206, which came to rest on its roof.

The driver of the Peugeot, who has not yet been identified, died at the scene of the crash.

A 36-year-old driver of the Ford was airlifted to Hull Royal Infirmary by the coastguard helicopter with very serious injuries.

He is currently in a stable condition in hospital.
