Two rushed to hospital after being rescued by fire crews on B1397 near Boston

Two people have been hospitalised after fire crews were called to rescue drivers and passengers trapped following a crash this morning.

The crash on the B1397 at Sutterton, in between Boston and Spalding, happened at shortly after 8am on Tuesday, November 1.

A Range Rover was travelling in the direction of the A17 and a Vauxhall Zafira travelling in the opposite direction when the collision occurred.

Fire crews used Holmatro cutting gear to rescue those trapped.

The driver of the Range Rover was taken to the Pilgrim Hospital.

Fire crews released the Vauxhall driver.

One of the rear seat passengers of the Vauxhall was taken to hospital too.

A second rear seat passenger was uninjured.

The injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
