Lest we forget. Remembrance Day commemorates soldiers who lost their lives defending our country.

Remembrance Sunday, which is on November 13, marks the day World War One ended.

At 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, back in 1918, the Great War came to an end.

Here are just some of the Remembrance Day events across Lincolnshire:

Grantham

Opening of the Garden of Remembrance

• When: Sunday, November 6, 11.30am
• Where: St Peter’s Hill

Remembrance service

• When: Wednesday, November 9, 11am
• Where: The Memorial, Grantham Cemetery

Two minutes silence

• When: Friday, November 11, 11am
• Where: St Peter’s Hill

Remembrance Day parade

• When: Sunday, November 13, 10.20am
• Where: Parade starts from Grantham Bus Station

Remembrance Day service

• When: Sunday, November 13, 10.55am
• Where: St Wulfram’s Church

A wreath laying ceremony will take place after the service. The parade will then reform and a march past will take place on St Peters Hill with a salute to those on the dais.

New Waltham

• When: Sunday, November 13, 10am-1pm
• Where: Peaks Avenue War Memorial, New Waltham

Healing

• When: Sunday, November 13, 10am-1pm
• Where: Low Road War Memorial, Healing

Laceby

• When: Sunday, November 13, 10am-12pm

Cleethorpes

Remembrance Service

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Band Concert in aid of Poppy Appeal

• When: Friday, November 11, 7pm

Remembrance Sunday Service

Guided Tour: International Bomber Command Centre

• When: Sunday, November 13, 10.30pm-3.30pm
• Where: International Bomber Command Centre

There will be no service, however people will be able to place poppies, have guided tours and meet the archive team.

The march will from the bus station, and will go along Lumley road to St Matthews Church, where a service will be held at 10.45am.
