Competition has emerged for Lincolnshire’s best Christmas lights after a family in Branston revealed their fantastic festive spectacle.

Anna Millhouse, 70, and her family first put lights up outside her home on Lincoln Road last year and decided to raise money for charity after a friend suggested the idea.

Last year Anna and her family helped raise £200 for Action for Children in Lincoln, which supports families with disabled children, and have already beaten that by raising £500 so far this year.

However, Anna and her family have some pretty stiff competition if they want the title of Lincolnshire’s best Christmas lights.

Derek Turner and his wife Jean have been decorating the outside of their house on Louth Road, Wragby, with thousands of lights for the last 12 years.

In doing so, the couple have raised thousands for St Barnabas Hospice over the last 10 years.

Last year, the pair raised £1,000 for the charity, by collecting money from people who travelled to see the amazing house.
