Road partially blocked after second A16 crash near Boston

One carriageway is partially blocked on the the A16, Sibsey Road near Boston following a crash involving two vehicles.

The incident happened at around 2.40pm and involved a lorry and a tractor.

Police and ambulance services attended the scene, with recovery vehicles on their way to the incident.

A spokesperson for the force has confirmed that there are only minor injuries.

Second A16 crash

This comes after an 18-year-old man from the Alford area was seriously injured in a collision on Main Road, Sibsey yesterday.

The collision happened at 4.47pm on Monday, December 19 and involved a lorry and a Vauxhall Corsa.

The injured man, who was the driver of the Corsa, was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham with serious injuries.

Firefighters used hydraulic cutting gear to release the casualty following the crash.
