Two schools south of Lincoln have closed due to a water outage in the area.

North Kesteven School and Sir Robert Pattinson Academy have been forced to close due to a water outage.

This comes after residents in North and South Hykeham woke up this morning to low water pressure or no water at all.

People in the Hykeham area woke up to no water or no water pressure this morning.

Essential maintenance took place in the area and Anglian Water had said water would be restored by 10am.

In a statement from Sir Robert Pattinson Academy, a spokesperson said: “Unfortunately Sir Robert Patterson Academy and North Kesteven School have both had to take the decision to close due to a burst water main.

“Anglian Water hoped to have water fully restored by 10am but this has not happened.

“We are making arrangements for buses to collect students and for students to make arrangements to go home.

“We expect to be open tomorrow but please refer to the website. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.”
