A Ford Ka driver in Scunthorpe has been arrested after being caught driving in the area with an alcohol level of nearly three times the legal limit.

The driver blew 100 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath when pulled over by Humber Roads Police earlier this morning.

The legal limit currently stands at 35 micrograms of alcohol in every 100ml of breath.

Humber Roads Police said in a tweet: “Just stopped this vehicle in Scunthorpe.

“Driver arrested for drink driving and vehicle seized.

“Blew 100 at the roadside.”
