Man charged with assaulting police officer at Grantham railway station

A man has been charged with assaulting a police constable and possessing a bladed article after a police officer was allegedly assaulted at Grantham railway station. A man has been charged with assaulting a police constable and possessing a bladed article after a police officer was allegedly assaulted at Grantham railway station.

The police officer sustained minor injuries in the incident at around 10.40am on Thursday, March 30.

Carlos Da Cruz Cande, 20, from Barking, has been charged in connection with the alleged assault.

A 19-year-old man has also been arrested.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “Investigating officers would like to speak to any members of the public who witnessed the incident.

“In particular we would really like to trace several people who physically intervened.

Any witnesses should call Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting incident 118 of March 30.”
