Bank holiday tragedy as woman dies from injuries in horror crash on A17

Police are appealing for witnesses.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a three-vehicle fatal crash near a Lincolnshire village over the bank holiday weekend.

Emergency services were called to the crash on the A17 at Leadenham on Friday, August 25.

A grey Chrysler Voyager driven by a 30-year-old man was towing a Vauxhall Movana van driven by a 27-year-old man.

The two vehicles collided with a silver Volkswagen Passat estate driven by a 27-year-old man who was with his wife, 26, and his daughter aged three.

Sadly, the 26-year-old woman who was in the Passat died from her injuries in the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.

The road reopened at around 5.30am on Saturday, August 26.
