Driver released by police after testing positive for cocaine during roadside test

He tested positive for cocaine.

A 35-year-old man has been released under investigation after testing positive for cocaine following a crash with a police car.

As previously reported, the incident happened just before 11am on Tuesday, September 12 on the A16 near Driby Top.

A Peugeot 206 crashed into a police vehicle travelling in the opposite direction.

The driver of the Peugeot was arrested after failing a roadside drug test, however has now been released under investigation.

Two officers from the police vehicle attended hospital to be checked over.
