Green light for new care home and apartment blocks in Spalding

They were given the go-ahead by councillors.

Previously refused plans for a care home and over 55s apartments in Spalding have been given the go-ahead by councillors.

Proposals submitted by the Millhouse Group were approved following a committee meeting at South Holland District Council on September 6.

Now, a self-contained care home and two over 55 years of age apartment blocks will be built at the former Jewsons Builders Merchants site along Roman Bank.

Artists’ impressions of the new homes

The proposed development originally comprised of three blocks of accommodation to provide an 88 bed care home that fronts both the River Welland and Roman Bank, with two additional blocks.

Block two was a block of 12 apartments that fronted the River Welland and block three which was a block of 18 apartments to front Roman Bank.

However, now this has been spread into four blocks.
